September 2023 Newsletter
We love, serve, and gather in Christ.
Pastor’s Corner
Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
Grace and Peace as we enter a new month and welcome the Fall season! Oh, it will still be hot, but I'll enjoy cooler evenings, fall colors beginning, and hopefully some IU (and Purdue) college football wins! Indianapolis Colts also!
The worship service times will change once again as Faith goes to 9 and St Andrews to 11 a.m. effective September 3rd. All around us, change is in the air!
Join me, again, in giving thanks to God that Jesus never changes! Eternal love, grace, hope and joy call us forward in daily living. I love Hebrews 13:8 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow!"
So, enjoy the fall season with whatever it brings because God is with us!
God's peace, Pastor Doug
Wednesday Night Zoom
n Pastor’s opinion, one of the best things you can do to prepare for Sunday is to study the Bible lessons scheduled for that day. Every Wednesday evening at 7pm, a group from both churches reads and discusses the lessons! Join in, the link is sent out on email every Wednesday.
Faith Formation / Sunday Evening Zoom
Faith Formation: We meet each Sunday evening, 7 pm, on Zoom. Faith Formation invites members of both churches who have never joined in, to come and see what's happening! This is a fun, lighthearted look at our faith journey. The Zoom link is sent out with the Sunday morning email.
Food Pantry
Friends,
August was a busy month for our food pantry. We helped 166 families, which is the most families we have had this year!
The next food pantries will be held on Friday, September 1, from 5-7pm and Saturday, September 16, from 9-11am. We ask you to please prayerfully consider joining us and supporting us financially, as we serve our neighbors. All volunteers are welcome and needed!
Thank you
Dear Faith Family,
Thank you for making the baptism for Joseph so special! My in-laws felt so welcomed and the gifts were so generous. Dan and I are so greatful to have such a wonderful faith family to surround Joseph.
Sending our love,
Leigh, Dan and Joseph
